Sara Atkins-Rauwald, Marketing and Communications Manager

Sara began at The Big Garden as Marketing and Communications Manager in December of 2021. Sara is a proud, first-generation college graduate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with a double major in Journalism and Communication Studies, and a minor in French.

Previously, Sara has worked in marketing at Union Pacific and the Greater Omaha Chamber. She has also provided marketing consulting services to Nebraska Organ Recovery, Streck Labs, Fastenal, and the FIVB Volleyball Grand Prix. She also spent two years at LinkedIn working in Trust and Safety as an Abuse and Content Enforcement Agent, and served as a board of directors member for Omaha Jitterbugs. She is the Creative Director behind ARSAR Photography.

The Big Garden provides a fun opportunity to exercise her creative eye through her shared love for plants, journalistic photography, and writing. All while working with a team of passionate professionals and educators to better our community, one garden at a time.
