Sara’s High-Fiber Overnight Oats
I recently began a medication treatment that requires me to increase my fiber intake to prevent constipation from being a side effect. I know it's not glorious, but I know I’m not the only one on this planet who struggles with constipation. What I have for you here is a quick and easy, nutritionist-backed recipe for high-fiber overnight oats that are sure to help you have consistent bowel movements.
Gosh - this isn’t glamorous, but I can guarantee you’ll enjoy the recipe. Bonus: it is a dairy-free recipe for the lactose intolerant and also fully customizable to your tastes! The recipe below is for a single portion, but you can make large batches by multiplying to the desired quantity!
PREP TIME 5 minutes or less
SERVINGS 1 servings
INGREDIENTS
· 1 container of Silk Greek Coconut milk yogurt (5.3 oz)
· 1 tbsp of flaxseed
· 1 tbsp of chia seeds
· 1/2 cup of oats
· 1/2 cup of Fairlife Milk to taste for texture
· A handful of your favorite dried fruits for topping
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix yogurt, flaxseed, chia seeds, oats, and milk in a mason jar.
2. Refrigerate overnight.
3. Before eating, top with your favorite dried fruits! Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or a hardy snack.
