Summer Farm Stands

This summer, Whispering Roots and The Big Garden are collaborating to bring Farm Stands to WIC (Women, Infants & Children) clinics and senior centers across the community. Studies show that children and seniors experience a greater risk for food insecurity, and these Farm Stands intend to provide healthy food options in locations convenient to these populations. Whispering Roots and The Big Garden will match every WIC & Senior Voucher used, doubling the value. Participants can match at any of the locations and as often as they like until their vouchers run out. Wenninghoff’s Farmer’s Market is the participating vendor. Cash is accepted, and the Farm Stands are also open to the general public. This program is funded and sponsored by CHI Health.
Locations: Look for the Gather Mobile Kitchen
Farm Stands will take place rain or shine.
