30k in May!

The Big Garden is participating again in the annual Omaha Gives online fundraiser. This exciting challenge is our main fundraiser each year, and our goal this year is to raise $30,000 and 400 unique donors between May 1st-22nd. Last year, roughly 25% of individual donations to The Big Garden were raised during Omaha Gives. This year, as an added incentive, we have a generous group of donors who have agreed to MATCH all donations up to $13,500.

The Big Garden teaches people to grow, cook, and eat garden-fresh produce. Our programs operate at the intersection of food security & sovereignty, climate change, and community-building with the overall goal of increasing access to fresh produce and strengthening local food systems. We offer year-round garden education in schools and childcare centers in the Omaha-metro. We also build community gardens, plant orchards, teach free hands-on workshops for adults, host a summer internship, lead Farmers Market educational tours, and provide a summer nature camp for kids.

We rely on your donations during Omaha Gives to set a strong foundation for all of our services and programming. These donations will allow us to continue our highly sought-after programming all across the metro, increasing food security and strengthening local food systems.

Go to www.omahagives.org/thebiggarden to schedule your $10 minimum donation anytime between May 1st-22nd.
